Statement
The rain can be pouring down, the mist rolling in and the Irish will describe it as 'A soft day'.
Victoria Battersea studied printmaking and photography at Canberra School of Art. She has exhibited photographs and prints in group exhibitions and has work in private collections in Australia and overseas. She is currently teaching art in a school in Fremantle. Victoria is interested in the way photographs can change the way we perceive the landscape and how colour can affect mood. She is less interested in producing a realistic representation of the landscape than looking at how the viewer relates to the image when colours blend and wash out, depth flattens and edges blur.
