The real lords of street markets.
Yu-Ying is a photography enthusiast, whose fondness for photography grew from a hobby to his chosen method of storytelling. He journals the urban landscape of the city he lives in, the third spaces and the relationships between the inhabitants. Struck by the film Yi Yi (2000), Yu-Ying is especially drawn to the backstories cocooned beneath people’s façades. He finds the rare escape of emotions, which often seep out from the cracks of a worn-out urbanite, to be telling of profound histories that stir up curiosity. Yu-Ying holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Arts in Professional Writing and Publishing. His field of interest focuses on cultural differences as expressions of general topics, like colourful flowers on a common ground.
