Statement

The Great Wall of China. This photograph expresses the enormity of the structure, the length and how it feels as though it reaches around the world, no end can be seen.

Elena Pizzata, the 21-year-old girl behind elimmagine, has found her place behind the camera ever since Christmas 2011, when her nonna bought her a Samsung ES55. This tiny camera went absolutely everywhere with her up until she "permanently borrowed" her mother’s Canon 600D in 2015. Since then, it has opened an array of opportunities to explore the world through a camera lens, where she is now a third-year university student studying a Bachelor of Film & Screen Production.

Her style has progressed from rounding up her school friends creating music videos, experimenting with silhouettes to small travel videos. However, she has since found her place and resonated with expressing culture. Elena has a strong Italian heritage which is displayed through her photography, which depicts her family taking part in Italian traditions. This includes bread, olive oil and tomato sauce making. She hopes that she can expand by focusing on expressing different cultures through her videos & photography in hope that sharing different perspectives, ways of life and culture from around the world will eliminate prejudice.
