Statement
Inspired by the Ballad of Mulan, an ancient poem of well known heroine Hua Mulan, the Disney adaptation of her story and the famous theme song by pop diva Christina Aguilera, the photos Reflection shows the scenes of Mulan looking at her reflection and in her wedding clothings. In the end of the original poem, Mulan offers a metaphor to the comrades that were shocked to know about her gender, "The male hare has heavy front paws. The female hare tends to squint. But when they are running side-by-side close to the ground, who can tell me which is male or female?"
