This photograph is a self portrait in the home, a rambling old bungalow in West Perth, taken in 2021.
Donna is an artist working across mediums of print, collage, assemblage and photo media. Her work often incorporates bright colours, pattern and abstraction with found images sourced from vintage print, collections and photographs.
Through a mixture of digital collaging, cut and paste methods and a continual photographic documentation both digital and film her works often investigate identity and style throughout history, reference the importance of collections and objects within personal archives and her photo work embraces shifts in light and the ambience of the ordinary and everyday.
Donna has had her work exhibited as part of the RESET 2021 residency at Perth Centre for Photography as well as Paper Mountain, Balkon arts incubator and various university group shows across Melbourne and London.
She completed a Bachelor of Fine Art in Print Imaging at RMIT as well as studying a Foundation Diploma in London Metropolitan University, ran music and zine and art making events in London's east end and Melbourne as "ART:NOISE" and has worked as a Visual Art & Design Technician in schools as well as various other Arts industry roles.
