Statement
This is an image of my close friend Ken (he/him). Ken is a musician and vocalist, fronting local band Ken Paolo and the Space Cadets. Dressed in Femtomic, a local sustainable clothing label, ken wanted to go for a space cowboy look, exploring his femininity. shot on Mamiya 67 on Fuji Pro 400H.
Annabel (Annie) Harvey (she/her) is a 22 year old photographer, videographer and multidisciplinary artist, working fulltime as a freelance photographer from the age of 18.
Annie draws from a range of influences, the characteristics of her work often displaying subtle surrealist undertones and film like tones. She loves to work with all mediums, 35mm & 120mm analogue and digital photography as well as a strong passion for textile based art forms such as knitting, sewing, collage and drawing.
She takes inspiration from photographers such as Alex Prager, Yva, Robert Frank and Linda McCartney, through colours, textiles, patterns and forms, whilst also incorporating her own lived experiences through her friends, family and the interesting she encounters in day-to-day life.
Working with previous clients such as Spacey Jane, WAM, RTR 92.1, BANKS, Girls Rock WA,Falls Festival, Karnivool, PICA, Laneway Festival, Whats Lively, Harvey Sutherland, Curtin University, Kav Temperley (Eskimo Joe) and more, at the heart of it, Annie is dedicated towards pushing herself to shoot the often-un-shot. She is passionate about the sense of community she feels within the arts and knows this is driven by her desire to capture the raw emotion and energy of any project and is passionate to create and experience as much as possible.
Annie lives in Walyalup (Fremantle) with her cat Panini.
